| Perhaps your system lacks some other developping packages
| (e.g. freetype, fontconfig, xft). On Debian, those are
| available with these names: libfreetype6-dev,
| libfontconfig1-dev, libxft-dev

I could compile emacs 23-60 with lrsvg-2 lm17n-flt and lotf, using the
src rpm package from fedora.

Problem for indian script remains: no fonts to display bengali, tamil...
ugly fonts with no ligatures for devanagari. Emacs 22.1 could display
these ligatures using cdac fonts.

In Options-->Mule-->List Character Sets, cdac fonts are listed but the
table character is empty.

My system has intlfonts and cdac fonts enabled (and a lot of other indic
fonts (ttf, ot, ....))

Hope to find a solution...

Best regards.
