Re: HELP! How do I force emacs-20.3 to read a file in a coding system?

More Background:

	I know how to make ONE file-load in the big5 coding system:

	C-x RET c big5 RET C-x C-f filename

	But I cannot force all future reads to [first priority] big5

	M-x prefer-coding-system DOES NOT do the job.

	the following snippet [in big-5] cannot be detected by emacs 20.3
in both Solaris and Red Hat Linux platforms as Big5 Chinese.  HELP!!
