Thanks everyone for bringing this up :)
Dear all
First my belated thanks to all concerned. Have got down from cvs and
tested, I see that the keystrokes are ok and those bugs I brought up
are removed.
The documentation in Tamil in the description section of the mim file
is good idea.
There is a typo error in that section which I had told ifelix at
redhat dot com (when I met him on google talk 2 days back) that I
would report here. Here is the mistake
The e.g. statements for rule 5 appears as:
à + à + à -> àààà
à + à + à + à -> ààààààà
<<
You have to correct the second line of the above to read as:
à + à + à + à -> àààààà
Since this typo error does not impair any keyboard functionality there
is no urgency and I guess that it can wait for next cvs update
I had found the above same error (as well as 3 other typos) in the
site : http://www.tamilvu.org/Tamilnet99/annex2.htm -
And on my pointing out those typos (my screen-shot of that site then,
with my markings of errors: http://i13.tinypic.com/2q2mwlh.jpg)
TamilVU site's web master had responded back affirming correcting the
typos. I guess the source of the typo error in your mim file must have
been the said annex2 maintained by TamilVU.
The tamil99 provided with m17n is compliant to first 8 of the 12 rules
in http://www.tamilvu.org/Tamilnet99/annex2.htm and we can also
consider rule #12 as complied with as that rule is only to give
freedom of choice for certain keys. So to make the m17n-ta-tamil99
fully compliant to tamil99 standard, further keystrokes for rules 9,10
and 11 are left to be included. Am I right?
