So what is the solution actually?

Edit /usr/share/m17n/mdb.dir. Replace the line

  (input-method * "*.mim")

with

  (input-method bn itrans "bn-itrans.mim")
  (input-method bn unijoy "bn-unijoy.mim")

and so on. You can include as many lines as you want.

WOW, It was that easy? I'll pass this to Ubuntu users.

Alternatively, downgrading m17n-db to 1.2 should work, too.

The best solution is, of course, as the maintainer to upgrade
libm17n-0 to 1.3.
Don't you think Ubuntu people should keep their repository up to dated or announce a fix themselves? I agree it will be fixed in the next version of Ubuntu, but what will happen to the present users?

I found one more problem with Scim. When I last used Scim, whenever I opened an GTK or QT based application I can see the Scim icon in the taskbar. But now I have to select the input method manually by right clicking on the text window. Is there any way to automated the system like before?

Also Scim is not working with OOo2. But last time it worked with OOo1. Anyone knows any solution?

Regards
